Finally I've got it working!!! I installed a client-service with the following comman:
installadm create-client -e XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX -n 0906-111b2-sparc-sirrah -t /export/aiserver/osol-0906-111b-sparc-sirrah and then the installation process works as it should. It is currently running :-))) However I had to modify DHCP-Parameters several times. First I followed the instructions given at http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/content/submitted/config_dhcp_server.jsp Then I always had to substitute the qualified hostname by its short name. Finally I had the following macros: > dhtadm -P Name Type Value ================================================== 01XXXXXXXXXXXX Macro :Include=albireo:BootSrvA=192.168.0.12:BootFile="http://192.168.0.12:5555/cgi-bin/wanboot-cgi": dhcp_macro_0906-111b2-sparc-sirrah Macro :Include=albireo:BootSrvA=192.168.0.12:BootFile="http://192.168.0.12:5555/cgi-bin/wanboot-cgi": 192.168.0.0 Macro :Subnet=255.255.255.0:Router=192.168.0.1:Broadcst=192.168.0.255:Include=albireo: albireo Macro :Include=Locale:Timeserv=192.168.0.12:LeaseTim=86400:LeaseNeg:DNSdmain="chgdomain.com":DNSserv=192.168.0.12: Locale Macro :UTCoffst=3600: GrubMenu Symbol Site,150,ASCII,1,0 where 01XXXXXXXXXXXX contains the mac address of the network interface. Hope that now everything works fine. Cheers Hinrich -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
