I believe the fact that the machine can't access the Internet outside of SWAN is causing the error in removing SUNWslim-utils package, since the default repo set for the image is http://pkg.opensolaris.org/release
Do you know why this particular machine can't access the Internet? Is it possible to try the install on a machine that can access the Internet? Of course, we still have to figure out why uninstalling a package involve contacting the pkg repo even with the --no-index option.
