I thought that we had discussed this in a meeting a couple of weeks ago and had 
decided it would be for both sparc and x86?

The text installer project will be responsible for the UI changes to handle 
extended partitions, but there is a dependency on this (extended partition) 
project for the underlying library changes. There is also the expectation that 
the text installer will provide similar capability to the GUI installer wrt 
panel/screen functionality. I second Jan's idea to add text install and AI 
changes to the out of scope list, to clarify the boundaries.
