OK. The following is more to the point:
OpenSolaris installers should be able to install on systems with new or
rare devices.

Networking is included in the above; I don't specify "disk" for that
very reason. If one wants to point to a network driver on, for example,
a USB stick, they will be able to do this. (To download a network
driver over the network is a chicken-and-egg issue.)
