David,
I think the AI client is not able to connect to the IPS repository.
The probable causes are:
1. The IPS repo is misspelled or doesn't exist.
2. The AI client was not able to lookup the hostname of the IPS repo
specified in the AI manifest.
On the failed system, login as root/opensolaris and try to reach a
system or website outside your lab using the host name (For example,
ping www.sun.com). If you are able to access outside your network, try
to ping the IPS repository. From your output, the IPS repo used for this
install is pkg.opensolaris.org.
If you cannot lookup pkg.opensolaris.org, most likely DNS is not
configured in your client.
