This step is not required. There are many OpenSolairs projects
which don't go into Nevada - for instance IPS stuff or OpenSolaris
installer :-)

OpenSolaris install technologies are integrated during
standard OpenSolaris RE process at regular basis and
made available as set of IPS packages in IPS repository:

SUNWauto-install
SUNWbeadm
SUNWdistro-const
SUNWgui-install
SUNWinstall
SUNWinstall-libs
SUNWinstall-test
