Hi all,

I'm trying to work out what xVM hypervisor domU guests need to be able
to install using AI.

HVM (fully virtualized) guests have PXE boot capability, and I've been
able to at least bring up a domU guest as far as getting a SunOS banner
and some initial services[1] however, we don't yet have PXE boot support
for PV (paravirtualised) guests - this is covered by bug:

6528791 would like PXE booting for PV domains

Given as sparc uses wanboot AI, I was wondering if there are other ways
to boot x86 clients, other than using PXE? I've been through the AI
docs and mail archives, but couldn't find anything - perhaps I didn't
look hard enough :-)

virt-install can do traditional Solaris jumpstart[2], it'd be cool if we
were also able to support AI.

        cheers,
                        tim

[1] the guest then fails in the network/physical start method I think,
where an interface isn't plumbed automatically, dropping me to
single-user maintenance mode. This is weird, since I'm able to manually
plumb the xnf0 interface, and obtain a dhcp address. More investigation
needed my end, I admit.
