While working through some issues with the ident file for GRUB2 today
with Seth, we noticed that the volsetid file is generated based on the
pattern:
hostname-<timestamp>
eg. "celtic-warrior-2011-12-29T22:44:36.568475"
If the primary the aim is uniqueness, would it be preferable to use a
UUID generated py python's UUID implementation?
Or are there other uses it serves such as providing the build host name
as a form of signature?
