It was decided that rather than trying more fixes, it would be best to pull this out and let the developer work on it more with the pressure of fixing the gate taken off.
For all those pulling from slim source, there is nothing special you need to do. Pull and merge as usual. A backout is just an "anti-delta", we have not removed csets from Mercurial or done anything magical. But if you have any trouble I am available to help.
