The install_log is in /system/violatile and it will not be in /tmp or
/var/tmp.

Hi Janie,
looks like installer text UI crashed. Try selecting 3 (Shell) from the menu and
inspect:
1. /tmp and /var/tmp for text installer UI logs

on the machine
Text installer UI logs should contain more information about the problem cause.
