I am not wondering about this as the "maintainer" doesn't maintain anything since a couple of years. He thanked to the community to give him a resolution for the 64 bit version and that was all. I believe that this is an abandoned Project as it was not really changed for a year and more. For debian packages was the last change a year ago(see source forge). Somebody are working around with the plug-ins but that's all. The "weather man" was called Fabunet and he is not present anymore. I think that this is a general problem with Ubuntu. I'm still on 12.04 and guess what happened to me: Last week was a update of the nvidia driver. This update crashed compiz and x-org server. This was not recoverable and I had to reconstruct my machine. Stable release 12.04? not at all! Since more than two years my samba crashes after reboot. I can't count the bug reports anymore but nothing changes and so on and on. But it is still better than all the windows os.
