Sorry, that would be in the view.

You should try using

$this->flash('Message saved.', $this->viewPath.'/index');

or

$this->Session->setFlash('The Message has been saved');
$this->redirect($this->viewPath.'/index');

depending on what type of flash message you are trying to use.
