right i'm getting somewhere, by reffering to the habtm relationship directly* in my model function i get 2 sql queries generated. ONe for the habtm data one for the related model.
*return $this->nameOfModel->findAll($conditions, $fields, $order, $limit, null, 1) but this doesn't offer enough controll over the data, what if i want to search data with multipl habtms? I'm sure i'm not explaining this correctly.
