In tutorial #1, on page 22 the code in listing 15 causes problems. I had to get rid of $html->formTag and just code the form tag in html, as $form->create didn't work for some reason (did I do something wrong). Also, had to replace $html->inputTag with $html->input, $html- >passwordTag with $html->password, and $html->submitTag with $html- >submit. In listing 16, the code does not work and produces error messages. I tried replacing the line
if ($this->User->validates($this->data)) with if ($this->User->saves($this->data)) Error messages are gone, but still cannot get the form to validate properly. What am I missing?
