Depends on version cakePHP
for 1.1.x in ModelController:
$this->ModelName->id = null;
$this->ModelName->save(array('fieldName' => $fieldValue));
for 1.2.x in ModelController:
$this->ModelName->create(array('fieldName' => $fieldValue));
$this->ModelName->save();
