Hi,
you could just use a variable inside your controller?
Set it inside your action as $this->cn_id = $your_id and change your
code to:
> function beforeRender()
> {
> if($this->cn_id){
> $current_cn = $this->Account->Note->read(null, $this->cn_id);
> $this->set('current_cn', $current_cn);
>
> }
>
> }
