I was doing exactly the same thing you want to do:
function isAuthorized() {
if ($this->Acl->check(array('foreign_key' => $this->Auth->user('id'),
'model' => 'User'),
inflector::camelize($this->name).'/'.$this->params['action'],
'*')) {
return true;
}
else {
return false;
}
and it works. However, it doesnt seem like the correct aproach to Auth/
ACL. I´m trying to change it, but in case you want to continue with
this way, ask me if you need some help.
