Miles, I've avoided using Smarty in Cake for almost a year, now. But I have an application that has become rather tiresome to sort thorugh with all of the programming code (foreach loops, switches, etc.). While I would prefer to not have to use another system inside of a system (because of problems such as theo ne I'm currently experiencing) I am willing to give it a shot and see if the benefits outweigh the costs. To simply refuse to do so is quite stubborn, imho.
