It's simple enough. :)
Sample layout:

<head>
<title>
<?php echo $title_for_layout; ?>
</title>
</head>
<body>
<div id="content">
<?php echo $content_for_layout; ?>
</div>
</body>
</html>

All your views are output through the $content_for_layout variable.
Use all the html tags you want, inside of that content div.
