I can confirm this by using HTML Embed, iFrame and/or Object tag inside an app,
a desired content will be opened in a new Safari Window instead of within the
app.
I did a test on PhoneGap 1.0 & 1.1 on both iOS 4 & 5 emulator and both behave
the same. I also did a research and it is possible to use the said tags within
UIWebView in a normal condition (without PhoneGap):
