@Shazron Nothing shows up in phone gap debugger (debug.phonegap.com). Anyway,
for some reason. When I switched back to default 'AutoHideSplashScreen : YES'
and took out the 'navigator.splashscreen.hide()' javascript, the splash screen
behaves normally i.e. it shows for about 2 seconds before app launches, which
is what I wanted from the beginning.
