Are there any standards are URL schemes? Most of the Cordova documentation is
around a standard and the variations of each platform. By documenting these
platform variations, we can slowly work towards some convergence.
It would be useful have a URL scheme guide, but we'd want to approach it as an
agnostic guide that also documents platform specifics (quirks).
Here is a [W3C Wiki on URL Schemes|http://www.w3.org/wiki/UriSchemes] but it
seems to be a loose collection of "registered" schemes.
Here are a [couple schemes documented by the W3C HTML 5
Spec|http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/system-state-and-capabilities.html#dom-navigator-registerprotocolhandler].
