the fix didn't work for me. I stopped getting the error by changing:
ok = [url setResourceValue: [NSNumber numberWithBool:
[iCloudBackupExtendedAttributeValue boolValue]] forKey:
NSURLIsExcludedFromBackupKey error:&error];
to:
ok = [url setResourceValue: [NSNumber numberWithBool:
[iCloudBackupExtendedAttributeValue boolValue]] forKey:
@"NSURLIsExcludedFromBackupKey" error:&error];
but I don't know how to verify if the attribute is now set correctly.
