Can you try this in an edge version of cordova? There have been many fixes for
changes to orientation in iOS 6.
I couldn't reproduce your problem on an iPad 2 running iOS 6 nor in the iOS 6
iPad simulator with the edge version. I have an app that supports all but
"portrait home button top". I run the app with the device in landscape. I
call chooseContact() - it displays the contact list in landscape. I cancel out
(either after selecting a contact or not) and the page I invoked
chooseContact() from is still displayed in landscape.
