The Central Florida Dance Alliance is co-sponsoring a contra dance
choreography contest along with one of our long-term dancers, Chere
Force. She lost her mother in 2005 and wishes to honor her Momâs
passing (10/2/05) by dedicating a new Contra Dance in her mother's name.
There is a cash prize of $250 to the person that comes up with the
dance we pick. To personalize the dance, Chere asks that the
choreographer use Troy Lee and any of the following words in the
calling: gardening, jam, blackberry, bingo, scrabble, deviled
eggs. Feel free to create new moves & name them from the suggested
list. Please suggest a name for your dance, but Chere reserves the right
to name the dance.
The dance will debut at Orlando Contra Halloween dance 2006. We
will do our best to showcase all entries that night.
