I wrote an easy and interesting dance involving that figure. There are no
chains or stars, an easy progression, and the dancers are al;ways connected to
someone (other than in the pass thru and the petronella figure itself). I also
give the dancers the option to just slide 1 place to the right if they don't
want to do the clockwise spin. Hope this helps in your quest for these dances.
 Here it is:

        Partner Swing

B2 CL 3/4

Notes: in the B1, As Couples, Go Forward, Ladies bring back Partner quickly (in
4 beats) to Swing Partner.

I would like to find a couple of fairly easy but interesting contradances
with petronella spins in them somewhere. I am going to call for an unknown
mixed dance this weekend and would like to use this figure somewhere in the
program. I have used "Maliza's Magical Mystery Motion" before but it seems
like it might be a little bit challenging if there are a lot of beginners.

Your suggestions would be appreciated. If you can include or point me to
the transcription, that would also greatly help.

Thanks,
