asterisk has 2-3 different methods for ss7 support, and cw currently
has none. however, I emailed Sangoma and asked them about the ss7box
implementation they support for */fs/yate, and was told it should
work fine with cw as well:

Hi Roy,
There was complete compatibility when the app was called OpenPBX.
There is a minor amount of work which needs to be done for
CallWeaver to plug into SS7box as a media gateway. The work
involves re-labeling some lines of code- less than a few hours
worth of work with one of my developers.
