Hi, If you have had trouble using txfax to send to Canon FAX machines, please try spandsp-0.0.4pre11, or the latest snapshot. spandsp was setting a bit in a control message incorrectly, due to my misunderstanding of its purpose. It seems only Canon machines care about this bit, so most machines accept FAXes just fine when the bit is incorrect.
A number of FAX issues have been cleaned up in recent weeks. I've been getting some really good input from testers, and I'd like to thank you all for that. For something like FAX, external testers are really important. There is no way I can try my software with all the weird and buggy/quirky/not quite doing things the same way equipment that's out there.
