I don't know why it didn't compile cleanly on a new install. The ./
configure line for spandsp is slightly different than the other
packages:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/callweaver CFLAGS="-I/usr/local/
callweaver/include -O2" LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/callweaver/lib
with the -02 appended to the CFLAGS directive. The wiki installs CW
and all required libraries in /usr/local/callweaver. I'd suggest
deleting it entirely (and the various packages) and start from the
top. I'd make sure there are no libspandsp files anywhere else on
the system (like /usr/lib) as well.

It's a clean install of osx (server), tiff, readline & speex installed
before spandsp
I found tiffio.h in /Download/src/tiff-3.8.2/libtiff/
As I'm complete NEWBIE with compiling I have no idea how to sort it
out
Did someone else get the same problem and what can I do ?

I will update the wiki this week when I get a chance. There's a
minor tweak to readline-5.2 to have it compile, and speex needs to be
1.2beta2 (1.2beta3 causes CW make to fail, they've changed the API it
seems).
Successful install on OS X 10.5.2/Core2 Duo. Very clean build (which
on OS X can be quite a surprise! 10.5 much better at it than 10.4
however).
