quote from soft-switch.org: "mISDN, for BRI users, is hopeless,
producing a very unstable audio stream"

Yes, thats true, i made this experience with an older fax maschine
(Triumph-Adler FX6000, a machine from the '90s)
The fax it receives are always a bit faulty (single lines that are
long drawn out a bit), and it reports back to the sendig fax machine
(Brother FAX-T102) that there are faulty parts. But the fax reception
itself is complete.

With zap, the fax transmission is always ok. I used a bristuffed *1.4
to test it, because in callweaver ther is only chan_misdn(mISDN_v1)
and
chan_lcr(mISDN_v2) for BRI. (ok, perhaps sangoma with wanpipe, but
they are to expensive)

@steve
when you encountered this behave of mISDN, can you say how to make
this unstable audio stream visible/measurable ?
Because i need any comprehensible method to get a starting point to
feed the mISDN developer with this faulty behave of mISDN.

Since there is no alternative yet for BRI in cw.

Regards,
Kristijan
