Hello,
This question seems to be turning into an FAQ, with no obvious answers
available (at least through my brief Googling).
I'm trying to set up Callweaver, since I find myself needing to use SIP
and STUN with an ATA that doesn't seem to work very well. So I thought
I'd set up Callweaver as an intermediary.
It all looks OK except for this:
Oct 24 18:36:40 WARNING[3059350416]: chan_sip.c:3265 create_addr: Can not
get information about services _sip._xxx.freeswitch.domain.net
>From my very limited knowledge in this area, it looks to me as if this is
a DNSSRV issue.
I have the following re this in sip.conf:
srvlookup=yes ; Enable DNS SRV lookups on outbound calls
We also control the DNS for the host, and it has the following in its DNS
config:
NAPTR 0 0 "s" "SIPS+D2T" "" _sips._tcp
NAPTR 1 0 "s" "SIP+D2T" "" _sip._tcp
NAPTR 2 0 "s" "SIP+D2U" "" _sip._udp
freeswitch A xx.xxx.xxx.xxx
AAAA yyyy:yyy:yyyy::y
_SIP._UDP SRV 0 10 5080 freeswitch.domain.net.
_SIP._TCP SRV 0 10 5080 freeswitch.domain.net.
_SIPS._TCP SRV 0 10 5081 freeswitch.domain.net.
There are of course other lines but these are the relevant ones.
So my questions are:
1. Is this a DNS SRV thing?
2. Does it matter? If this is DNS SRV, can I just turn it off and have
it work anyway?
3. Either way, we probably want this to work. Any suggestions on why it
isn't?
4. Are there commands I can run (either in Callweaver or with DNS tools)
that can help troubleshoot this?
Of course, in the above, the domain and IP addresses have been obscured.
Any help anyone can provide will be gratefully appreciated, not only by me
but by the others who seem to have asked and had no luck in finding an
answer.
Geoff.
