hello sameen,

thanks for taking over the python vobject library at [0].

working with the other maintainers of the calypso caldav/carddav server
maintained at [1] (migrating from [2]). we were about to prepare taking
over vobject (i've briefly talked about that with jeffrey more than a
year ago, but wouldn't have managed without the new formed calypso
maintenance team). with your efforts and the github project, we'll stand
down those plans, but i'm confident we'll nevertheless have good
collaboration between calypso and vobject.

we've had some bugs / feature requests in vobject accumulated and
partially patched in the distribution bug tracking system[3]; the
python3 fixes there seem to have been done in parallel to tim baxter's,
and are probably obsolete. feel free to poke around at [3], but in
geneneral, when new bugs come in that affect upstream, we'll forward
them to your issue tracker; i'll go through the existing bugs in due
time.

to good collaboration
chrysn
