Cambodia’s national police chief, Gen. Hok Lundy, renewed an agreement with
Australia on Saturday to combat transnational crime.Hok Lundy spent four days
in Australia, ultimately signing a cooperation agreement with the Federal
Police, said Lt. Gen. Sok Phal, a member of the delegation.Cambodia has had a
security relationship with Australian police since 2001, when the country’s own
police commissioner, Michael Keelty, traveled to Cambodia to discuss policing
issues with Hok Lundy.Australia is seeking regional partners to combat
transnational crime and terrorism.Hok Lundy and Cambodia have enjoyed
strengthening relationships with Western nations, including the US, in recent
years.The US FBI has opened a liaison office in Phnom Penh, and in 2007 the US
resumed direct aid to the country.A team of FBI investigators is now in Phnom
Penh to help Cambodian police investigate the July 11 murder of opposition
journalist Khim Sambor.

All who are against ah SAHD DAYRICHAN Chau bury I support you. I see more and
more ignorants old fools in this forum who cannot justify the nature of peace
and harmony between human & human.
I love Cambodia, I love my people. Although I cannot support the over
natiionlism. I have so much pride to be born as khmer,but I cannot allow this
over nationalism to destroy the image of Cambodia. I can understand how much we
hated our neighbors,but at the same time we must look at what mistakes we had
made that allowed our neighbors to have control over us.
Today under Hun Sen regime, Cambodia made another mistake by allowing the
Vietnamese to open their own community service in Cambodia,while the khmer krom
in their own land (South Vietnam) were forbidden to have access of their own
identities in Kampuchea Krom.
If Vietnam cannot allow khmer krom to have freedom? Why did Hun Sen ever dare
to allow the illegal Vietnamese in Cambodia so much freedom? This is the part
that every nationalists,politicians should address to the UNited Nation and
Human Right service.
I used to be so discriminate against Vietnamese when I was young. But as I grew
older and became a little wiser, I don't see any reason why we should hate the
Vietnamese. Most of it is our own fault that we need to learn from it.
I used to despise Chinese. I used to think chinese looks were disgustings that
I could puke. As I grew older I started to realize that my great grandparents
were Chinese too, and could not even speak a word of Khmer.
