Re: Please vote to restores sight to 4,000 children from Cambodian
slums

Hello Everyone,

Are you interested in helping blind Cambodian orphans recover their
sight? If yes, please go to GlobalGiving Foundation’s’ website and
vote with $10 minimum donation.

We, WFA, are involved in a project to build ophthalmology facilities
in a slum of Phnom-Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Right now the
project is doing fund-raising through GlobalGiving e-Foundation, that
helps grassroots philanthropy projects. We need help to do
fundraising, in order to win a competition that awards the winner
$4,000 in December and important grants afterward each year. Our
deadline is November 21, which we know is coming up soon, but we would
really appreciate your help.

How to do it?
1) Looking for 5 sponsors to vote with $10 minimum donation for WFA’s
project on Blind Cambodian children listed on GlobalGiving
Foundation's link: http://www.globalgiving.com/pr/2500/proj2440a.html.
2) Asking each sponsor to look for 5 other sponsors and spread the
word for this cause.

Summary: This project restores sight to 4,000 children from Cambodian
slums and 1,500 mothers at risk of damaging sight in one or both eyes,
upgrades 800 health staff, and sets up a pediatric eye clinic in Toul
Kork. * Project Challenge 2008

Project Needs and Beneficiaries: Currently, Toul Kork has no pediatric
ophthalmologic capability and children from this slum area are
destitute. Besides, Cambodia lacks well-trained eye surgeons. To
remedy this issue, WFA will help upgrade a local hospital to establish
a fully pediatric eye clinic that can provide the state-of-the-art
services. Also, WFA will set up a chain of eye dispensaries that can
provide eye care services to Cambodian orphans in remote areas.
Training will also be provided for Cambodian ophthalmologists.
