Only if you go back and read what genocide is in international law. Interesting here. ---------- I replied: Westernstarr, Vietnam didn't send their people to settle in Cambodia. It's the economic conditions that lure those Vietnamese people to immigrate to Cambodia. In Vietnam, they say about Cambodia, IN KHMER EXPRESSION: "teuk mean trey dey mean chee". Compared to Cambodia, Vietnam lacks natural resources. If there are too many Vietnamese immigrants in Cambodia, it's the fault of the Cambodian government, not of the Vietnamese government. If Vietnam intends to swallow Cambodia, why did it withdraw its troops completely in 1989?? I said many times before here in CamDisk that the Cambodian government should stop the Vietnamese immigration & repatriate those who came illegally. The Khmer Rouge Tribunal is also transparent to the outside world. If "the US helped reform Japan's democracy", what's wrong with Vietnam helping reform Cambodia's democracy?? Both are the case of the victor "helping reform the loser's democracy". The word "genocide" used to attribute to the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge is utilized by everybody in the world, including the West. Do you think the West is stupid enough to be tricked by Hanoi?? The Khmer Rouge Tribunal hasn't chaged the evil Khmer Rouge leaders of genocide because, in the history of the entire world, it & the international community have never encountered the case of a government committing a genocide against its OWN people before, & thus haven't developed a law against such type of genocide. =========================== There's also an interesting set of exchanges between Westernstarr & Chon Chunleas.
