VietNamNet Bridge – The eighth session of the Vietnam-Cambodia joint technical
subcommittee for land border demarcation and marker planting was held in Phnom
Penh from Feb. 23-25.
The Vietnamese delegation was headed by Nguyen Hong Thao, Deputy Head of the
Foreign Ministry’s National Border Committee and member of the Vietnam-Cambodia
joint border committee, whilst the Cambodian delegation was led by Long Visalo,
Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Head of
the Joint Technical Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting.
Based on the results of the border demarcation and marker planting activities
undertaken by Vietnam and Cambodia as well as the current situation in each
country, the two sides agreed to propose adjustments to the master plan
governing the matter for the 2009-2012 period.
They also discussed preparations for the third session of the Vietnam-Cambodia
Joint Committee for Border Demarcation and Marker Planting.
A REMINDER :
KING ANG CHAN 1811 & KING SIHANOUK 1970,BOTH ASKED THE VIETNAMESE HELP TO
RESTORE POWER.
1811 King Ang Chan asks Vietnam for help in protecting his throne - especially
from one of his brothers who had fled the court and seemed bent on rebellion.
1820 Khmer revolt. Resentment with the Vietnamizing process, harsh rule and
forced labor leads to a Khmer revolt against the Vietnamese occupiers. The
rebels, lead by a monk named Kai, slaughter Vietnamese residents in eastern
Cambodia before being subdued by superior forces sent by the Vietnamese
governor in the south.
1840 Khmer revolt. The uprising broke out in late 1830s, but a larger one in
1840 broke out soon after the Vietnamese decided to install a Vietnamese
taxation system and to administer Cambodia's provinces directly, instead of
using local officials. Furthermore, the Vietnamese imprisoned the Khmer queen
whom they thought uncooperative. The disappearance of their queen, however
ineffectual she had been, enraged and terrified many Khmer provincial officials
who led their followers into rebellion.
KING SIHANOUK AND HUN SEN BOTH MARRIED TO FOREIGN WIFES, SEEM TO IGNORE THESE
UN RESOLUTIONS ?
IT'S THE EVIDENCE OF THEIR BETRAYAL TO THE KHMER PEOPLE.
UN Passes Strong Resolution on Cambodia Human Rights Abuses
Feb. 27, 1982 : UN Commission on Human Rights meeting in Geneva adopted a
resolution condemning Vietnam’s occupation of Cambodia as a violation of
Cambodian human rights. The vote was 28 in favor, 8 against, and 5 abstentions.
116 UN MEMBER COUNTRIES CONDEMNED VIETNAM AND CALLED VIETNAM TO CEASE HER
OCCUPATION OF CAMBODIA .
Oct. 21, 1986 The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution A/RES/41/6, by vote
of 116-21 with 13 abstentions, calling for a withdrawal of Vietnamese forces
from Cambodia.
TODAY, KING SIHANOUK , QUEEN MONIQUE, KING SIHAMONI ARE COLLABORATING WITH THE
VIETNAMESE INVADERS AND RUN THE COUNTRY WITH THEM IN VIOLATION OF THE UN
CHARTER AND THE 10 UN RESOLUTIONS, MAKING THE KHMER MONARCHY TRAITORS TO THE
CAMBODIAN PEOPLE AND CAMBODIA NATION. IT'S A CRIME FOR THE KHMER MONARCHY TO
BEHAVE LIKE CRIMINALS VIETNAMESE INVADERS.
