I decide to write this statement, because I don’t want to get in between the
blames. I see a few strong arguments in CAMDISC regarding whose love Cambodia
and/or not love Cambodia.
Let say:
For the individual who is saying all nice things about present or past leaders
and the direction where the country is heading, that the individual is tagged
as “Patriot or nationalist“.
When some individual who is giving a difference point of views; that individual
is tagged as a “spies “for youn or Kbal youn Kloun Khmer.
Let get straight into my personal view. I believed anyone who’s subscribed to
CAMDISC or CAMNEWS; they have legitimate concerns about Cambodia and her
people, specially the directions where the country is heading. An also, they
want to get informed, that’s why they are subscribed. I don’t blame on any
individual who mentioned about bad behavior of Khmer leaders (past or present)
like “why Khmer have to kill Khmer” or sometimes there is a clause like “why we
have to kill our own race and/or blood”?
I subscribed to CAMDISC and CAMNEWS all these years; I can understand his/her
suffering. I can fell the suffering of losing almost entire member of their
family during the Khmer Rouge regime, because of bad behavior of Khmer leaders
and they are the one to blames.
I was a victim of the same blame in 1997, not at CAMDISC forum, but it was at a
meeting in Alexander, Virginia, U.S.A.
This is only my two cents and hopes people are understand and don’t say I don't
care about my birth country.
Cambodiamust be a Conservative Republic Country in order to survive a big wave
from the east. Not Lon Nol’s Republic. They are just the royalists that got
away.
