Strong Resolution on Cambodia Human Rights Abuses Feb. 27, 1982 : UN Commission on Human Rights meeting in Geneva adopted a resolution condemning Vietnam’s occupation of Cambodia as a violation of Cambodian human rights. The vote was 28 in favor, 8 against, and 5 abstentions. Oct. 21, 1986 The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution A/RES/41/6, by vote of 116-21 with 13 abstentions, calling for a withdrawal of Vietnamese forces from Cambodia. 10 UN RESOLUTIONS,(1979-1988) VOTED BY 116 UN MEMBER COUNTRIES ,CALL VIETNAM TO CEASE HER OCCUPATION OF CAMBODIA & REMOVE ALL HER TROOPS FROM THE COUNTRY, ARE NOT RESPECTED AS OF TODAY. Escpecially, I am not a fan of any current Cambodian government. What I am seeing is a manipulating of all sides to discredit each other. However, I understand it. As far as I know, Today Cambodia is the product of the leadership lead by Hun Sen and CPP. If it is so bad, why is it Cambodia getting better. I just talked to a Cambodian businessman who was visiting America. I asked that specific question. This man wants to have nothing to do with any politics. He purely is on the business side. Here is what he thinks about the standard of living in Cambodia. He said that Cambodians are far better today than they had ever been for a very long time. He specifically mentioned the poor peasants in the rural area. He may be wrong. However, I do believe that Cambodia today is better than it had ever been for a very long time. Remember! you cannot take this credit away from Hun Sen and his people. Cambodia today is the product of his leadership along with CPP dominance. That's the truth, not my opinion.
