What are we talking about here? Thais and Khmers share the same culture? No, they are not. Cambodians have their own culture. Thais practice their own culture. Today, some Cambodians have brought Thai culture into Cambodia. Let me give a simple example. In Cambodia, there was no one who would spread water on people who walk, bike etc... on the street. Thai has been practicing it for a very long time. Now, we have seen it in Cambodia. Does that mean the two countries practice the same culture? Each country has its own culture. No one want to copy Cambodian culture because it is a culture of self destruction. This culture contain the culture of corruption and impunity. Don't tell me that these two elements don't exist in Cambodia. You can find corruptiong from the very entrance into Cambodia. You can find impunity from your very first step into Cambodia. That's the way they do it. I flew into Thailand numerous time. None of those officials had ever asked me for any money, nor they did anything to make me bribe them. On the other hands, I flew into Cambodia twice. They gave hard time at both trips. Ofcourse, the second trip was a little easier because I only stayed in Cambodia for one night.
