The military rulers and the caretaker government took over power, after 18 days
of protests that toppled the 30 regime and the military leaders of Egypt
dissolved parliament and suspended the constitution on Sunday.
According to the United Nations and US-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) say 300
people have been killed in Egypt's protests. But that is an estimate, at best.
The true picture remains unclear.
The people of Egypt were scarified of 300 lives for their freedom and the
future
of their country. Their scarification is less than the Cambodian’s stampede’s,
which clains Cambodians life at 378. The Egyptian is getting their freedom,
compare to Cambodian people were getting nothing in return, but mourn the death
of their love one.
The Cambodian’s freedom, the destiny is still controlling by a few individual
and a few families.
Cambodian and Egyptian are living in the same scenario, where Egyptian regime
rule at 30 years, Cambodian rule for 32 years. Egyptian’s unemployment reaches
80%, Cambodian at 75%. The average salary of the government workers’ in is at
Egypt at $45 per month , compare to Cambodia at $25. The government of both
countries is corrupted from top to the bottom.
The worse crime of the Cambodian government is land grabsand evictions, which
affectedmillionofCambodians’lives. And for the past few months, many Cambodian
men are joining the military and volunteer to fight at Preah Vihear. The
scarified is not just of their patriotism, but for the main reason is the money
for their family and their love one to have place to live and food to survive.
Many men has told their family before deployments of the reason they have to go
to war. If they die at the war zone they can get $10,000 or $20,000 for their
family and defense their country.
For the rich and the corrupted Cambodian officials, $10,000 or $20,000 is very
little to them, but compare to the majority of Cambodian people, $10,000 or
$20,000 is the value of their life that they scarified.
