This is the third time I attempt this and the change set becomes pretty large,
making it quite hard to deal with failures.
I will make the fixes in a few stages and this will impact other developers
with potential need for merge. It would be great if you could avoid commits
for the next 24-48 hours or so (if it's not too much to ask).
