Our default setup has multicast discovery turned off so it's unlikely that's involved (however I guess it's not hard to turn it off to check in the SVN builds).
Did you see my post from earlier today about lsof not showing TIME_WAIT sockets? I'll happily turn on logging and give it a pop - is there anything more appropriate than the whole of Camel at DEBUG? -Dominic I wonder if its worth turning on debug logging and sending the broker log? I'm wondering if on your windows box sockets are failing alot? Or maybe its the multicast notifications in the broker causing lots of sockets to be opened?
