Maybe its a Graphviz issue; maybe its not so good with PNG's but is
better with JPG or something?

FWIW there's a fair bit of pain involved using graphviz and getting it
installed on different platforms and dealing with shapes/icons and so
forth.

I do wonder if an Eclipse based (say GEF based) approach might be a
little less problematic.

There's still native libraries required to run Zest/GEF but at least
its maybe a little less tricky to deal with?
