If you like softness, look for some of the old bellow cameras on
ebay and take their lenses . Or else, look for an old uncoated
shuttered LF lens. These are cheap, will give you enough coverage,
and their lack of coating and the "haze" caused by mildew/condensation
over time will give you the soft effect of the holga. Just ensuring
your film at the filmplane is not perfectly flat i.e. slightly curled
will give you the fall-off effect you want.
And probably cost you what a holga does.
