Hi,

I'm considering making a roll-film back with a platen of thin, (optically as
neutral as possible) glass against which a movable back would press the film
after transport - much in the manner of Koni-Omega Press cameras.

I envisage a thickness of 1mm. The thinnest I can obtain locally is 3mm,
from memory, and I think that is ordinary window glass.

I have seen advertisements on the internet for 1mm glass at $US 60 for a
pretty small sheet.

Can somebody who has experience of this, please provide information about
potential sources of glass, and the technical names or specifications of
suitable types of glass for this purpose?

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All slithy were the borogroves, and the mome raths outgrabe.

Apologies to Lewis Carrol - this was from memory.
