Thanks to the folks who tested that and verified that I am not just going insane (at least not in that way!). I backed up to a nice stable July 15th build that I keep gziped, and all is well. I will await the patch eagerly.
Thanks also to the folks who updated the bug on bugzilla within the last day, and in keeping with Chris' request on bugzilla, I won't add another "me-too" bug report. ;)
