All,

I don't know whether there's much of a a point in taking the issue
here, since it is quite prominent already in bugzilla. But, anyway,
here goes:

(1) For quite a while, Camino has been unable to properly accept
imported SSL Root Certificates
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383988>,
<http://www.spg.tu-darmstadt.de/~hf/camino/ssl-cert-botch/root-certs-1.tiff>.

(2) mozilla.org is moving at glacial speed when it comes to include
and distribute additional root certificates
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378882>.

(3) Trunk removed the dialog to temporarily or permanently accept a
server certificate and grew
<http://www.spg.tu-darmstadt.de/~hf/camino/ssl-cert-botch/cert-error.tiff>
instead, which refers the user to "advanced encryption settings" as a
way out. They do not exist on Camino.

(4) This leaves us with procedure
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398417#c8> for adding a
usable root cert. Talk about the Macintosh Experience...

(5) FF 3 will happily import the root certs and work with them.

Comments, insights?
