Today's focus: Outlawing spyware? Good luck

By Jeff Caruso

Outlawing spyware? Good luck

DSL for all

Daniel Briere's Telecom Catalyst column lives up to its name
this week. Turns out Briere recently ensured that a small
community in Maine was able to get DSL. Verizon had connected an
island off the coast with broadband - but then denied service to
the potential customers because of a database glitch. Find out
how Briere shook up the system.

Frances, Ivan and Jeanne build case for disaster recovery

No job security in cybersecurity?

Why can't the Department of Homeland Security keep a
cybersecurity chief for very long? How is the department
spending the $70 million that's supposed to go towards
cybersecurity? 'Net Insider Scott Bradner asks these and other
questions in his column this week.
