***So whats going on with the market? Are they preparing for another October massacre? Or are we witnessing the final great buy opportunity? Find out more below ***Getting ready for the election determining best buy targets and more to follow. ***Flash Alert: The EVS Taser-style profits play is up another 26% for a total gain of 140%. Find out what two other companies stand to skyrocket before October 20 in this EVS exclusive report. ***********************************************
There are people who tell me that theres no money to be made in this market. After all, everyone knows that oils up, real estates soaring, the US trade deficit, too, and the US dollar keeps dragging against euro, yen, and gold. But the reality is that theres plenty of money waiting to be made in this market or any other market, for that matter. And the Taipan Groups Dynamic Market Theory team is proving it day after day: You may remember, just yesterday Ian Hot Hands Cooper was bragging about a spectacular short-time money-making opportunity right here in the 247profits e-Dispatch. He had recommended buying the safe stun gun company on October 6, and it was up 50% yesterday alone. Today, its up another 26% for a total gain of 140%. Thats a great run and it hasnt even hit its growth catalyst, due October 20.
Always one to play it safe, Mr. Cooper recommended banking the easy gains. Find out how we find the news first and turn it into profits. When news breaks, we bank it. Please dont miss there next cycle of profits. Visit this link to learn more NOW.
Or will we witness something that, six months from now, may appear as a final great buying opportunity? Harry S. Dent Jr. wrote yesterday: Just as the market played Ive fallen and cant get up for a year between late 2001 and late 2002 before turning around sharply, it is doing a superb job of saying Im dead and going nowhere now. As you may recall, Dent compares 2004s flatliner market to the 1994 dead phase before the bull market from 1995 to 1999: When markets move sideways for a long period they are almost always preparing to move up again. Well keep our fingers crossed. Dent identifies his best buy targets at 1,080 to 1,100 on the S&P 500, 1,850 to 1,860 on the NASDAQ, and 9,750 to 9,800 on the Dow.
Todays tradesports.com standings for the 2004 Presidential Election are: PRESIDENT.GWBUSH2004: 55.7/56.4 (yesterdays standing: 57.5/58.8)

If no signs of [voter] intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a pre-emptive
strike. Europeans are very familiar with the U.S. health care system. After all, there
are movie theaters on both sides of the Atlantic.
*** For tomorrow, the picture remains muddled, with key indicators pointing at a loss of another 100 points. The Hang Seng followed and exceeded our prediction, closing at 13,035.38, down 136.20 points (1.03%). For tomorrow, the indicators foreshadow further losses of 0.5% to 1%, depressing the index below the 13,000 mark for most of the day.
The Nikkei 225, too, took a header, ending the day at 11,034.29, down 161.70 points or 1.44%. In rare harmony, our indicators paint another minus 1.2% scenario for tomorrow.
This just in from Taipans resident Editor-at-Large, Martin Denholm: Im not a religious fellow. Nor am I an alcoholic. But the current state of the Boston Red Soxs playoff hopes (akin to being put through the office shredder) may well turn me into both in the coming days! They now find themselves 2-0 down against the Yankees and are inexplicably playing very poorly when it matters most. Apologies if you couldnt care less about baseball, but its always something with that bunch of Beantown teasers. Now Ive got that off my chest, lets move on to some good news.
Even though the strike didnt affect oil supply in Africas largest oil exporting nation, this no doubt comes as a relief to the battered global oil market. It is just as well, as the US Energy Department said so-called distillate supplies fell by 2.5 million barrels in the week to October 8. This is important, since it provides the energy for heating oil in the runup to winter. Total reserves now stand at 121 million barrels. On the bright side, though, US crude supplies climbed by 4.2 million barrels to 278.2 million for the week. Natural gas reserves also swelled by 67 billion cubic feet last week. That sent total supplies to 3,159 trillion cubic feet - up 178 billion cubic feet from a year earlier. Anyway, back to Nigeria The government has formed a committee! Well, what else is there to do when things go wrong and the people go on strike? The group will apparently look into ways of softening the blow that such a rapid rise in fuel costs has had on Nigerians - many of whom are desperately poor. However, should it fail in its mission and prices remain high, the unions have warned that an indefinite strike could begin in just two weeks - a strike that this time might include the oil industry. But given the poverty of Nigerians, an extended strike is a classic Catch 22 situation. While many folks are in favor of protesting the governments actions, they also simply cannot afford to go without pay for long.
So its good news that Molson Inc. and Adolph Coors got the go-ahead from Canadas Competition Bureau (that countrys federal trade regulator) to progress with their merger. Since July, the two brewers have tried to thrash out a deal that would create the worlds fifth-largest brewing company, worth an estimated US$6 billion in combined annual revenues. The US Federal Trade Commission approved the agreement last week, but stumbling blocks still remain - most notably, bitter divisions within the Molson family. OK, thats quite enough from me today. Take care till next time.
