Hi,

To append the data to the existing file, Use the mode as 'A' in the function module ws_download.

wht I feel is take the time as the component of ur file name so filename will be varying according to system time and hence different file downloads...

whatever data is in file , going to overwrite the data ,it will not append the data.

hi great minds,

the problem in fron of me is that when i am running a report in background how can i get the output of that report in .xls file. actually the response time of the execution is too high it took around 10-15 minutes on production server. what i want that report to be run in background & check out the output in the normal appearing window.

for ur kind information i am new to the ABAP thats why need a detailed answere. is there any function module to be used for this. If SO plz let me know in detail.
